Rehearsals In 2009-2010, the Washington Girls Chorus will be divided into two performance levels:
Treble Choir I: Girls invited to join Treble Choir I experience the joy of strengthening their musical potential through the study of exceptional beginning choral literature. An emphasis is placed on teaching healthy vocal technique and empowering singers with improved music literacy skills.
Treble Choir II: Girls invited to join Treble Choir II have demonstrated proficiency in basic music theory and score study. This chorus moves at an accelerated pace designed to build musical independence, self-confidence, and poise.
Both choirs will rehearse October through May at a central location in Upper Northwest Washington; Treble Choir I on Mondays, 4:00 to 5:00, and Treble Choir II on Wednesdays, 4:00 to 5:30. A detailed schedule of rehearsal times for the season is provided on the WGC Parents page each September. Our first rehearsal is on Monday, October 5th.
